Regimental history of the 1st and 2nd Battalions of the 41st Dogras, compiled mainly from the digest of services, from the date of raising as the 41st Regiment of Bengal Infantry in 1900, through service in North China, the Great War in France, Egypt, & Mesopotamia, North-West Frontier, 3rd Afghan War, Palestine and Aden to amalgamation and reorganisation in 1922. Extensively illustrated with b/w plates and photographs, portraits, regimental colours, coloured sketch maps, rolls of honour, casualties, succession lists of officers & VCO's, honours & awards, citations, index. xii + 146 + x pp. Original deep blue cloth covered boards, gilt regimental device and battle honours to front board, gilt titles and block lines to spine, in loose and removable protective wraps. Very light foxing to some page edges and one rear endpaper. Superb condition internally. Neat inscription on front internal board "H.G.S. Burki, 20th March, 1937 to March, 1947". Very rare (private circulation). Very Good/No Jacket.
