Nice selection of Royal Flying Corps memorabilia relating to 4026 H.K. White. 1) Trio of Medals. 1914-15 Star engraved to 4026 1. A-M H.K. White R.F.C. British War Medal engraved to 4026 Sgt. H.K. White and Victory Medal engaved to 4026 Sgt. H.K. White R.A.F. Accompanied by 3 ribbon strips. 2) 18cm strip of wooden propellor. Inset oval photogaph of airman in flying suit with "The Royal Flying Corps" surtitle and with R.F.C. insignia and "Per Ardua Ad Astra" inset below. Also another inset oval photograph of Bi-Plane. 3) Flying Goggles in brown leather with tinted eye pieces. Gold coloured lettering on left side reads "Goggle Mask Flying Mark 11. The Triplex Goggle Mask and Lens Co. Ltd". (Elastic retaining strap not present). Contemporary photographs of Sgt. White. Sgt. White was attached to the 5th Wing and served in Egypt. Copy of "The Gnome " in house magazine. "An incongrous miscellany Published at the sign of the Monitor . Moaskar July 1916. " Copy numbered 29. Containes satirical, and slightly scurrilous articles about the regiment and its personnel. Humourous drawings of 5th Wing people as menagerie animals ( Tipostrich, Paronkey, Wirepitupine etc), Tipped in Real Photograph of a biplane by Sergt. H.F. Unwin. Royal Flying Corps.
