Description: Printed by John Baskett, E. and R. Nutt, and R. Gosling. Printers to the King, London 1734. London, 1734. First Edition, No Binding. Very Good Condition. Disbound. Very Good. 6 pages. Folio format (245mm x 390mm, 9.5 x 15 inches), separated from the Statutes at Large. Disbound from the larger volume, with no title page (as issued), and the caption title doesn't usually start at the head of the page, but some way down it. This is quite normal for Statutes. The Charitable Corporation was established in 1707, with the intention of providing pawnbroking and loans at low interest to smaller tradesmen to relieve cash flow issues. In time the Corporation became a fraudulent enterprise, leading to legal action and parliamentary enquiries, ultimately resulting in the bankruptcy of the scheme promoters. Quantity Available: 1.
