He has lived and worked in London since 1950. His poem 'Eden' won first prize in the 1969 Camden Poetry Competition. His first book of poems 'Cranefly Incident' (published by Ealing Press) was a joint recipient of the Yorkshire Arts Biennial Poetry Award in 1977. His poems have been broadcast by the BBC and have appeared in magazines and in the Arts Council anthologies of new poetry.?
