' Joseph Hambley Rowe, who took the bardic name Tolzethan, lived through a transitional period during which the Cornish cultural revival was attempting to develop a greater popular appeal beyond the realm of the 19th century antiquarian. A leading figure in the Cowethas Kelto-Kernuak (Celtic Cornish Society), and one of the 'immortal eight' barded at Treorchy in 1928, he was to become Deputy Grand Bard of Gorseth Kernow and, following the death of Henry Jenner, installed Robert Morton Nance as Grand Bard. This study, based on research undertaken by past Grand Bard, Hugh Miners, and supplemented with historical sources identified by Treve Crago of the Gorseth Kernow Archival Project, is the second in a series on individuals who have been bards of Gorseth Kernow. Gorseth Kernow is a College of Bards whose object is to maintain and give expression to the National Spirit of Cornwall as a Celtic Country '. Book - in Fine [better than very Good] card covers.
