Title: The Loves of an Apothecary.
Description: London, Clarke, Beeton, and Co., 1854, First Edition. Hardback, Dustjacket: No Jacket. Size: 12mo. Re-backed with publisher's red cloth covered-boards, blind stamped, with gilt decoration and titles to front board. Remnants of spine strip laid on. All edges gilt. Believed first edition; author not credited, but COPAC gives Frederick Greenwood. Condition: Boards rather knocked and rubbed, and spine faded. However the binding is firm and pages clean, save the occasional smudge. There is a private library label (Anne Renier and FG Renier) to the front paste down and a previous owner's name in pencil to the front free end paper. A somewhat better than Good copy. Good.
