Previous owner's name to front paste down, "Loftus Grey" (Grey is my best guess), "Rifle Brigade".A Loftus Grey is listed as Lieutenant-Governor of Pendennis Castle, 1832–1835. Condition: Front board detached, as are front free end paper and title page. Both boards very worn, spine strip cracked along its length with considerable loss of the surface layer. Some spotting, especially to earliest pages. Uncut (untrimmed) page edges age-darkened. Fair.
