Challenge to Lassie.
London: Ward, Lock & Co. n.d. [ 1949?]. Hard Cover. 80pp. Story of the 1949 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film based on 'Greyfriars Bobby' by Eleanor Atkinson. With 8 colour plates all present and 80 further illustrations which are stills from the film starring Edmund Gwenn, Donald Crisp and Geraldine Brooks. Blue cloth to spine is slightly rubbed and slightly darkened where dw has suffered loss. Front board has colour illustrated paper and is clean and bright with minimal wear. Dw has 2 inch loss to top of spine and a number of other tears and creases though main picture and titles to front are largely unaffected. Light, occasional foxing. Very good copy in Chipped and Torn dw.
