Decorative gilt tooling to front and rear panels. Spine bands worn. with surface wear along spine cover. Panel edges also worn and rubbed as with age. and with bumped corners. Surface wear and scuffs to boards. Both hinges starting. The front endpapers have been replaced. with some tape repairs along the front hinge. Frontispiece has become detached from the binding. Pages foxed throughout. Large water stain evident to first 30 pages. Remains quite well-preserved overall.
