Spine bands and panel edges somewhat worn and dulled as with age. Generalized surface marks and scuffs to boards. Remains of a small gilt-blocked leather label to spine. Raised bands and spine compartments uniformly tooled in gilt. Gilt-tooled coat of arms on front and rear panels with gilt decorative borders. Some surface staining evident to on back panel. Front and rear hinges starting. Internally. pages are very clean. with some dust-toning and light tanning evident in margins as with age. There is some marginal water staining evident in the last few pages of the index - text unaffected. Considering the age of this title. it remains particularly well-preserved overall.
