Raised bands with the title directly gilt-blocked. Spine compartments attractively tooled in gilt. Scattered foxing around the title page and prelim. pages in vol. 1. Some foxing is also evident around some of the plate margins. There is a damp stain on the engraved title page of vol. 2. which is not evident on any following pages. An exceptional set in this condition - scans on request. ; 0 pages; 94 plates on India paper [steel] engraved by John Grieg (1803-1853) and illustrated by Luke Clennell (1781-1840).
