Title: The Essentials of Philosophy, wherein Its Constituent Principles are traced through the various departments of science: with analytical strictures on the view of some of our leading philosophers.
Description: Edinburgh: T. & T. Clark..., 1859. FIRST EDITION. 8vo, pp. xii, 260, 16pp. adverts, original embossed cloth; ex-library, but a good copy. This was Jamieson's first book. One of the ministers of the Parish of Old Machar in Aberdeen, he published several other books on philosophy and psychology in the later 19th century, and died in 1903.
