Tonson, 1721. Half-Leather. 4 volume set. Rebound with leather spines, New endpapers before original endpapers, a signature on the new endpapers and also a 18th C. signature on old endpapers. Apart from some browning/foxing and the occ. crease to page corner the only fault with this set is a small but noticable tear to bottom inner edge of frontispiece, title page and three pages of the preface on volume one - appox. 5 cm in length and 1 cm in breath not affecting any text all on the inner margin. Small embossed blind and decorative college stamp on title pages (18th/19th century type of stamp - not very noticable and quite attractive). Very minor slit to outer margin on page 73 of vol.4. and a couple of slits tears to inner edge of page 577 on vol. 2 - all minor. List of subscribers at end of last volume.
